All skin typesStep 1 of the Core Four – CLEANSE
This gentle coconut milk cleanser purifies skin by removing oil, makeup and surface impurities, while Apple and Strawberry extracts naturally brighten and enhance skin’s brilliance. Camellia Seed Oil improves skin elasticity while Australian Wattleseed extract and Salicylic Acid refine the appearance of pores, leaving skin clean and hydrated, with a luminous glow.
Key Actives
Camellia Seed Oil: a light-weight phyto active oil abundant in fatty acids to calm and hydrate skin.
Salicylic Acid: to unclog pores, reduce breakouts and increase skin cell turnover.
Australian Wattleseed: to refine pores and provide gentle exfoliating action.
Nourishing Oil blend (Coconut, Camellia Seed, Sunflower Seed) provide an abundant source of fatty acids that are uniquely formed to deeply moisturise, purify and condition the skin and ensure that cleansing does not strip skin of its natural oils. This unique blend is formulated to lift makeup, sebum and impurities, whilst deeply penetrating the skin to promote lasting hydration.
Apple Extracts provide a natural source of AHA's (alpha-hydroxy acids) which have gentle exfoliating properties. The extract also has excellent moisturising properties by reducing trans-epidermal water loss.
Wattleseed Extract comes from the Acacia tree native to Australia, with cleansing, and pore-refining properties. It contains high levels of amino acids (proteins), which assist in promoting healthy and supple skin.

I love how gentle this cleanser is. My skin isn’t left feeling dry or stripped afterwards.
This is the best cleansing milk I've found that actually leaves my skin feeling clean without feeling like it's been stripped of all natural good oils
My face felt intensively clean after use and can be suitable for any skin type.
Is wonderfully light and cleanses beautifully. Does not leave skin dry afterwards at all. Lovely product

Will the coconut oil in this product clog my pores?
This cleansing milk combines coconut oil with specific carrier oils which ensure that the coconut oil is absorbed well into the skin and does not sit on the top of the skin barrier clogging pores. The Camellia Seed oil used in the products helps them to penetrate deeply into the skin. This cleansing milk also contains a small amount of salicylic acid which helps to unclog pores and combat acne breakouts.
What is the exact ph of this product?
The PH of our cleansing milk is 5.3. This makes it PH balanced given our skin acid mantle has a PH between 4.5 and 5.5.
Would this product be suitable for leaving on overnight to reduce skin congestion?
We do not recommend leaving this product on the skin overnight. It is designed to be emulsified / foam with the addition of water. We do recommend massaging it well into the skin, adding water to emulsify and then rinsing off. If you are after a leave on treatment targeting congestion, we recommned our Sleeping Beauty Purifying Mousse, this is a sleep mask made with Australian pink clay and designed to unclog pores and purify the skin.
Is this cleansing milk suitable for tweens or teens?
Yes. This cleanser is gentle even on the most sensitive skin! Including teenagers and will assist in unclogging pores.
What is the bottle made of? I'm trying to avoid single-use plastics.

Does the coconut oil in this product cause irritation or breakouts?
Using coconut oil in our formulas should not cause any breakouts or skin reactions. This is due to the way we blend various oils in our formulas. For instance, the use of Camellia Seed Oil ensures that the coconut oil and other oils penetrate deeply into the skin and do not sit on the skin surface which is what can lead to breakouts.
I have very oily skin. Will this make that worse?
Our Cleansing milk is designed to purify and cleanse the skin whilst also brightening and hydrating, without making it oily. The salicylic acid and fruit extracts inside the cleanser ensure that it balances oil production and reduces congestion and hormonal breakouts. We recomend massaging the cleanser onto dry skin, using water to emulsify it and then using a warm cloth or water to wash it off. Follow with our No.2 Citrus Rhapsody Toner Mist if you are particularly prone to oily or combination skin.
How much should I use? I'm trying the travel set, how many pumps should I use every time to achieve the best result?
Three pumps of the Cleansing Milk should be enough to create the desired result. Massage the milk using circular motions onto dry skin before applying water to emulsify it.
How much should I use? I'm using the regular 200ml size, how many pumps should I use every time to achieve the best result?
We recommend using 2-3 pumps of the cleansing milk. Be sure to massage the milk well into the skin before adding water and massaging further.
Hi Edible Beauty. I would like to transition from Jurlique products to Edible Beauty as I am unhappy with the formula changes in the Jurlique products I have been using for 30 years. I have been purchasing your wonderful teas for a long time. I would like to ask if all your ingredients are sourced from and produced in Australia. Are any sourced from China. Thank you. Kind regards, Jan Mulquiney.
The skincare ingredients are sourced from all over the world. We use Australian wildcrafted ingredients in the products but source from all over the world. For example our Gold Leaf is from Germany, our coconut oil is from Malaysia and our emulssfier is from Italy. Unfortunately Australia does not grow all of the botanicals which we use in the formulas. Our products are produced and manufactured in here Australia.
Does this help minimise pores and unclog my pores.
To mimise pores we recommend ensuring you are taking the time to unclog pores and reduce bacterial build up which is where the problem often starts.
The products we recommend for doing this include:

It has essential oils inside it, so will it be irritating for my dry skin?
Our products containing coconut oil and cocoa butter have been formulated with specific carrier oils. This ensures that the oil is absorbed well into the skin and does not sit on the skin barrier which can cause clogging of pores. The oil we specifically use is Camellia Seed Oil which comes from the tea plant. When used in isolation coconut oil and cocoa butter (amongst other oils) can definitely lead to pores clogging but when used in our products we can assure you that this is not an issue.
Which cleanser that would suit for my rosacea and acne prone skin?
Our No.1 Belle Frais Cleansing Milk is wonderful for redness and rosea. The coconut milk, cucumber and zizyphus extracts are calming and soothing and reduce inflammatin. The formula is also free of fragrances, sulfates and any harsh essential oils which are what tend to aggravate redness. In addition to the Cleansing Milk I recommend our & Sleeping Beauty Purifying Mousse. The pink clay and aloe gel in this are wonderful for reducing redness as well.
