Why? Because true beauty means more than simply looking good – it’s about caring for the health of your body, mind and environment.
Being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 18 marked a turning point in my life.
I began the search for natural solutions - nutrition and herbal remedies - to help manage the auto-immune condition. While working in corporate finance in Sydney and New York, I also studied naturopathy until I was able to make my passion my career.
Working as a naturopath in a Sydney fertility clinic, I was fed up with the lack of skincare that was safe and clean, especially for pregnant women. So, in 2014, I created a range of products – using Australian botanicals and luxurious ingredients – that is so pure you could eat it.
“After all, you absorb 60 per cent of what goes on your skin, and what you put in your body radiates through your skin. We call it inside – out beauty.”
I began whipping shea butter, cocoa butter and rose water in my mother’s cake mixer and sharing my creations with friends and family. After hours of research, cosmetic chemist meetings, more study and formulating samples, the Edible Beauty Australia skincare range was born in my garage!
When Sephora opened its first Australian store in Pitt Street, Sydney in November 2014, I remember my father and I stacking their shelves with Edible Beauty products. Within two months of launching, I was selling my range in an internationally renowned luxury beauty store.
I soon recognised beauty and wellness begins from the inside, that’s why I added a Beauty Tea Range. Filled with antioxidant-rich herbs and botanicals our teas are designed to enhance your metabolism, detoxify and repair skin from the inside out.
In 2020, we also launched ingestibles for liver support, a naturopath formulated elixir to strengthen your hair, skin and nails, and a Natural Hand Sanitiser with Colloidal Silver.
Thank you for trusting me with your skincare and wellness — and for sharing our passion for holistic beauty.
